Rafael Urquizar

Rafael Urquizar was born in Málaga in 1971 and studied design at ESMOD INTERNATIONAL FASHION GROUP PARIS. On finishing his studies, he began manufacturing under his own brand, which is now 38 years old. His collections have been marketed throughout Spain and shown on national and international runways. He has also worked in the design teams of brands such as Pedro del Hierro and Gianfranco Ferré, receiving awards such as the Golden Needle and the Golden Thimble. In recent years, the brand's work has focused on made-to-measure couture, bridal fashion and collections of what we define as limited-edition Prêt-à-Couture. His designs are frequently seen at events and on red carpets, as they are favourites of countless actresses, singers and models.

His atelier is currently located in Málaga, with a branch in Seville where he serves his couture and bridal clients while also working on his new projects aimed at strengthening his brand, such as his prêt-à-porter collections, which he presents every six months at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, or his latest licences for the manufacture of eyewear and accessories.
